111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones. 

Minor Injuries Unit

The Minor Injuries Unit is located in the Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre on Bacup Road, and is managed by PDS Medical Ltd.

We are a Walk In Centre, who are able to see and  treat minor injuries (sprained or strained joints, cuts, bumps, lumps). We do advise patients to contact the 111 service prior to visiting the service, were they will be asked a series of questions to ensure that they are being seen at the right place. 

We also work closely with the x-ray team – providing us with access to x-rays 5 days a week from 9am until 4.30pm.
