Covid19 Vaccination Update

Covid19 Vaccination will start in Rossendale on the 29th December 2020.

Venue: Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre (The Hub), Bacup Road, Rawtenstall.

Patients will be contacted by telephone to book the appointments. The vaccines are being delivered by central Government and as vaccine becomes available, more appointments will be offered. Each patient will need 2 vaccinations, 3 weeks apart . Their 3 week second vaccination will also be booked at the initial booking. It is important that both appointments are attended to optimise immunity and avoid wasting vaccine. Optimum immunity is achieved one week after the second vaccination but social distancing and continuing to follow National and Local rules needs to be continued.

People over 80 years of age will be the first cohort to be invited. The vaccination clinics are strictly appointment only, so please do not attend the clinic unless you have an appointment.
