As we enter another period of lockdown and uncertainty, please be assured we remain open if you need us. A clinician will speak to you on the phone to begin with and only invite you in for a face-to-face appointment if necessary.

We are sorry that routine waiting times have built up a bit . This is in part because each face to face encounter takes longer due to spacing and cleaning and PPE , but also because our team are very busy dealing with the recent surge in Covid cases , helping with the Covid vaccination programme and dealing with the usual winter pressures. Please consider if any simple queries could be dealt with by accessing NHS 111 online or by asking your pharmacist for advice.

Certain routine work may stop for the time being. Examples might include chronic disease monitoring for people who’s condition is stable, so we can concentrate on people with poorly controlled chronic conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes or COPD, as people with poorly controlled chronic conditions are more vulnerable to developing complications of COVID-19 infection. Other routine work such as cervical smears, vaccinations, injections and children’s immunisations will continue as normal.

Stay safe
