First Contact Physiotherapist

Many of you will know that we have had Lisa Foster working with us on Tuesdays and Fridays

She is our First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) and she has telephone and face to face appointments to diagnose , investigate, refer and advise on musculo-skeletal problems

First Contact Physios are expert physiotherapists who reduce workload on GPs by assessing musculoskeletal problems. This has been driven by NHS England because of the national shortage of doctors in primary care.

First Contact Physios have the same ability as GPs to refer patients into investigations, local community physiotherapy and secondary care (if required). Please contact reception for more information or if you would like an appointment.
